I always enjoyed creative writing even as a kid.  I remember I always wrote more than was required for Writers Workshop in elementary school.  I should have known I would grow up to be a writer. I spent my late teens/early twenties writing music and playing in rock bands. Going to work for Borders helped me decide I wanted to return to creating stories.  I started plotting an epic fantasy series, having no idea if I’d actually finish even the first book.  It didn’t hurt my motivation that I worked in a book store with plenty of inspiration and got involved with a writing group.  These two things are what helped me stick to it, and now I wouldn’t have it any other way.  The rest is, as they say, history.

When I’m not writing awesome novels and short stories I’m either found with a guitar or book in my hand, having a good laugh with friends, seeing an NBA game, riding a roller coaster, or working at The Shack.  And now this is starting to sound like an online dating profile, so I’m going to stop…
